
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since I'm just transferring voice files and not high-fidelity music, this crude method of using my microphone produced very good and acceptable results. I decided to experiment using my studio-quality USB podcast microphone set 5 inches away from the piece-of-crap (POC) speaker on my POC cassette tape player. My thought was the linear transfer cable was picking up RF from the computer. I tried a second time putting a self-made choke (several round circles of the cord on top of one another) on the transfer cable. A HORRIBLE humming noise was on my first transfer.
